The Journey home begins…

I spoke with Jeff at 5:30 this morning, once again from a high altitude, in the middle of nowhere while flying over the North Atlantic Ocean heading towards Iceland. Jeff and Don are only about 1 hour out and they are anticipating a much smoother landing this time as the weather is being more cooperative!!! [...]

While Daddy is away……

Spooky here…..
I am taking good care of everything in Marina del Rey while my Dad is away.

That’s all for now.
I’m off to take a nap!

I am happy to report that Jeff and Don are in the air again. I spoke with Jeff at 7:15 this morning and they are only 1 hour and 30 minutes from Scotland. Jeff expressed to me that leaving Iceland was probably the most difficult take off to date due to inclement weather and high [...]

Time for a quicky…post from Iceland that is :-)

It’s around 6 am and it still looks like a pretty strong wind out there to me. There are white caps on the ocean and the flag poles outside my window are dancing in the wind.
Don and I will be at the airport by 7:30 where we will receive our proper weather report from our [...]

All I can say is, I’m in…

Jeff,
You know how chicken I’ve been to fly with you in the T182. Well, after  reading this last post,  I have no question that you are an amazing pilot.   I would be honored to fly with you, if the invite still stands
I’m so glad you are living your dream.
Love,
Roni

Jeff called from his satellite phone to report a stunning topography and a picturesque view from the plane.
He has been filming his landings and taking quite a few still photos as well, so we can not wait for him to have a high [...]

Nearing Greenland…36 minutes out

Jeff called at 7:30 this morning to let us all know that he is nearing Greenland, only 36 minutes out. While speaking with me and piloting his plane  Jeff is looking out at an enormous iceberg floating in the ocean below (a once in a lifetime view I’m sure)!!!Jeff and Don intend to land in [...]
